Osun State University, Osogbo, has inducted 33 nurses that graduated from its Department of Nursing Science, with a charge on them, to excel and make a difference in their career.
The acting Vice-Chancellor of UNIOSUN, Prof Afeez Bello, also challenged the nurses to be good ambassadors of the university wherever they find themselves.
Bello, who was represented by Prof. Israel Oluwole, said graduates of the Department of Nursing Science in the institution had been recording excellent passing rates in the final midwifery qualifying examination since inception.
The Director of Standard and Accreditation, Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Dr. Ndagi Al-hassan, urged the Federal Government to provide an enabling working environment and better remuneration for medical practitioners to stop them from leaving the country en masse.
