Target Audience:
Residents and Medical officers in General surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, ENT/ORL, Family medicine and Ophthalmology as a prerequisite for Part 1 examinations of the West Africa and National Postgraduate Medical Colleges.
Course Fee: N40,000.00

Highlights: Didactic interactive lectures and live (practical) hands-on sessions on animal parts and mannequins covering the following topics:
Theatre Safety, Gowning and gloving, Instrument handling;
Knotting and suturing techniques, Abdominal cavity entry and closure methods;
Bowel anastomosis, Colostomy fashioning;
Suprapubic cystostomy and Bladder injury repair;
Vascular repair techniques B Chest drain insertion;
CPR, ET intubation and Tracheostomy;
Wound debridement, Tendon repair ;
fracture reduction techniques u Plastering techniques.
Certificate awarded is acceptable as pregualification for Part I postgraduate examinations.
