Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria, 2016 Continuing Professional Development Programme

The Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria is a statutory regulatory Board under the Federal Ministry of Health. It was established by Decree Number 61 of 1992, now Cap C19, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
 
The Board has determined that standards of practice of Community Health must continue to improve and has found Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a veritable means of improving these standards. To this end, Board has approved the CPD Programme, to improve, renew and update the skills and ability of all registered Practitioners to ensure that appropriate and high quality health services are rendered to patients and all members of the community. 
 
In making sure that this aim is achieved, Board wish to invite all Community Health Officers (CHO), Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWS) in the employ of Federal, States, Local Government and Non-Governmental Organisation in the country to attend the Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

THEME: "SAFE DELIVERY AND POSTNATAL CARE IN PRIMARY HEALTH CARE SETTING" 
 
FEE: N15,000 per participants to cover training materials, bag, tea and lunch.
 
All employers of these categories of Health workers should endeavour to sponsor and encourage their workers to attend. Attendance of CPD is mandatory to all Community Health Practitioners in the country as it constitute a major requirement to maintain registration and renewal ofpracticing licences.
