ACADEMIC STAFF QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
1.1 (a) Professor: Salary CUNUASS 07 
Candidate should possess: Ph.D/FWAC or equivalent plus adequate publications and a minimum of 12 years post Ph.D/FWAC relevant work experience, 10 of which must be in the university system. 
Note:
A Professor will normally be made on the basis of clearly recognized achievement or distinction in an academic field, administrative experience will be an advantage.
 
1.2 Reader: CONUASS 06
Candidate should possess: Ph.D/FWAC/FNMC plus adequate publications and a minimum of 10 years post Ph.D/FWAC/FNMC relevant work experience. 8 of which must be in the university system.
 
Note:
The status of a Reader normally indicates distinction in research but some Administrative experience will be an advantage.
1.3 Senior Lecturer: CONUASS 05
Qualification as for Lecturer II below plus Ph.D/FWAC/FNMC, adequate publications and a minimum of 8 years post Ph.D/ FWAC/FNMC experience, 4 of which must be in the university system/research Institute.
1.4 Lecturer I: CONUASS 04
a. Candidate should possess: Qualifications as stipulated for Ill below plus adequate publications and a minimum of 3 years cognate experience preferably in the University System/Research Institute, or MBBS plus FWAC/FNMC or its equivalent
1.5. Lecturer II: Salary: CONUASS 03
Qualifications as for Al below plus Ph.D in relevant field/recognized professional registration/ MBBS/BDS degree or qualifications as for AL with adequate publications and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience on post preferably in the University System.
1.6 Assistant Lecturer: Salary; CONUASS 02
Candidate should possess B.Tech/B.A/B.Sc/B.Eng/B.NSc. degree plus M.Tech/M.A/M.Sc degree of not below 60% average pass or M.Phill/Ph.D degree 55 - 59.9% and to provide evidence of commencement of Ph.D programme in relevant discipline.

1. Chief Medical Laboratory Scientist (CONIISS 13)
As in Medical Laboratory Scientist II with a minimum of fifteen (15) years experience in Medical Laboratory Science or ten (111) years for FIMLT.
 
2. Medical Laboratory Scientist I (CONTISS 08)
As in Medical Laboratory Scientist II with at least three (3) years experience in Medical Laboratory Science
 
3. Medical Lab. Scientist II (CONTISS 07)
Candidates should possess B.Sc/B.Tech./BMLS./ HND and be an Associate Member of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.
 
4. Nursing Officer II: CONTISS 07
Candidate should posses:
RN, NRM plus 3 years experience
RN and/or NRM plus B.Sc./B.NSc (Nursing)
5. Technologist II (CON IISS 07)
Candidate should possess: HND or C&G Part III Technician Certificate or Full Technologist Certificate in relevant discipline.
