COURSE CONTENT: Definition, spectrum and types of health research, proposal writing, statistics, research design, clinical trials- literature search/internet/ medline/ pub med search, writing up and defense dissertation, computer appreciation: EPI-INFO Package, faculty based group discussion, evidence base health care, basic principles and method of writing papers for publications, practical sessions on processing of proposal and presentation to the college, writing research proposals (planning and protocol develooment), budget and sources of funding for research

EXPECTED PARTICIPANTS: resident doctors, medical officers of health, fellows and other medical/ dental practitioners

COURSE FEES: 40,000N per participant. A certificate will be issued to participants at the end of the workshop
