The National Association of Resident Doctors has listed the immediate reinstatement of its members sacked by some Chief Medical Directors as one of the demands which the Federal Government must meet to prove that it is ready to resolve the crisis in the health sector.
The President of the ARD at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex, Ile Ife, Dr. Taofeek Akinniyi, said this while addressing journalists at Ile Ife on Thursday.

He lamented the lack of electricity supply and poor road network as well as dearth of some basic equipment needed to function properly.
According to him, Nigeria has competent medical doctors and other medical personnel but hospitals were lacking adequate equipment due to lack of fund from the government.
He also said that some resident doctors were being owed ranging form between two and eight months. He said this would not allow doctors to give heir best.
He said, “There is selective implementation of no-work-no-pay. This was unilaterally implemented to resident doctors in some teaching hospitals while other health workers in the same institutions are exempted from the Implementation of the same circular.
