Job Title: Senior Officer Specialist (Adolescents & Young Persons - AYP) 
Location: Abuja
 
Job Profile
This is a senior officer position reporting to the Territorial Manager, FCT. This position is expected to lead the implementation of all GF HIV Adolescent and Young persons’ project (AYP) activities in the State.
The individual will manage all AYP related activities including advocacy, HIV/AIDS programming and work closely with the staff of the Research Institute hired to provide technical oversight in the overall implementation of the AYP Action Research project in the state.
Specifically, s/he is to identify and work closely with State agencies responsible for implementation of HIV/AIDS Programmes and other relevant stakeholders in the smooth conduct of the AYP intervention.
S/He will lead in project coordination for HIV prevention, behavior change and communication amongst AYPs and provide evidence-based programming to inform project design.
S/He will support in the development of an effective, scalable and replicable model for HIV and AIDS intervention for AYP with emphasis on vulnerable girls.
The successful candidate will also assist in the development of reports based on key project initiatives.
 
Qualifications/Experience
Must possess a first degree in Sciences/Medical/Behavioural/Social Sciences or its equivalent in a relevant field
Must have a minimum of three (3) years post NYSC experience in implementing monitoring and evaluation of health and related programmes.
Must have implemented an HIV Intervention among Adolescent and Young person’s particularly in the Northern part of the country
Must possess the ability to analyse and interprete both qualitative and quantitative data to inform programming
Experience in conducting monitoring visits, utilising check lists and other tools, including ability to develop M&E protocols and tools, as needed.
Must have excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
