The March 2014 Fellowship Examinations of the West African College of Physicians(WACP), will be held at the University College Hospital (UCH), ibadan Nigeria and at Korie-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) Accra, Ghana. THE PRIMARY EXAMINATION WILL HOLD IN SEVEN CENTRES: University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, National Orthopaedic Hospital (NOH) Main Hall, Enugu, Ahmadu Bello Univeristy, (Umaru SHEBA Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Medicine, Samaru Zaia, Korie-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH), UGM Examination Hall, Accra, Ghana, Connaughth Teaching Hospital, Freetown, Sierra Leno, Royal Victoria Teaching, Hospital, (RVTH) Banji, the Gambia and A.M Douliotti College of Medicine Auditorium, Monrovia Liberaria as follows:

The Postgraduate Fellowship of the college is recognized by member countries of the West African Health Organisation (WAHO) for appointment of Doctors to Consultant positions.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates applying to sit for the Primary Fellowship Examinations must be Medical practitioners who are FULLY registered in Cote D'Ivore, The Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Republic of Benin.
. Membership Examinations MWACP candidates must have passed the Primary Examination of the West African College or its equivalent and subsequently satisfactorily completed two years residency training programme as prescribed by the relevant faculty. Copies of Physicians in Training  letter and Examption programmes
. Letter are to be submitted along with application. Candidates must have registered for Physician in Training immdiately on passing Primary and entring into a trining programme in an accredited institution. physicians in Training fee is N30,000.00 or $188
. Fellowship Examination candidates must have passed the Membership Examination of WACP and satisfactorily completed the appropriate years of training in an accredited institution. Further details are available in the Prospectus of the College. The College prospectus is available for sale at the College Secretariat. Subspecialty training fee is N62,000 or $388.
EXAMINATION FEE
1. Primary Examination $315 or N50,000.00
2. Membership $410 or N65, 000.00
3. Fellowship $625 or 100.000.00
4. Subspecialty $815 or 130,000.00
Addition Practical Examination Fee of N15,000.00 is payable by Membership Felloship candidates in Laboratory Medicine, and Membership candidates in community Health. THIS IS PAYABLE ALONG WITH THE APPLICATION FORM, OTHERWISE THE APPLICATION STANDS DISQUALIFIED Assessor's fee  for Fellowship candidates' Case Book/Dissertation for the College is N20,000.00 in a SEPARATE BANK DRAFT in the named of West African College of Physiciabs. Four copies of Dissertation saved inside CD rewritable. Candidates along with two copies of the approved proposals. All to be saved inside CD rewritable. Candidates should collected dissertations or casebooks and examiner's comments immediately after the examination.
MODE OF PAYMENTS
The Fees are payables to the WEST AFRICAN COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS' (WACP) account in GUARANTY TRUST BANK country wide. Candidates for Accra Centre should pay through GTB money trabsfer and called Mr Okletey on +23375091659. BANK DRAFTS ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE FOR EXAMINATION APPLICATION. PLEASE NOTE THAT NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED.Membership candidates must include evidence of having passed Primary and fulfilled the requirement of Physician in Training. The College shall bear no responsibility for worngly addressed cheques or payment into any other accounts. No refund will be entertained.
APPLICATION: 
a. Attendance of Madatory Course in Medical Ethics is a perrequisite for sitting Membership examination of the College
b. Current application forms are available at the WACP Secretariat or their liaison officers, or also be downloaded and prited from www.wac-physicians.org. Candidates are advised to downloaded and use the current application form from the College website; otherwise, their  APPLICATIONS will not be processed.
Evidence of attendance (NOT FUTHER ATTENDANCE) of Revision/Update/Ethics Courses must be attached. Candidates for the Membership or Fellowship  Examinations will be expected to submit a photocopy of their completed Log books. The original should be brought to the examination hall. An Autopsy Logbook is mandatory for all Membership candidates in Laboratory Medcine. www.medicalworldnigeria.com
c. Submitting altered or falsdied documents to the West African College of Physicians may be a sufficient cause for the College to ban you from ab examination, to terminate your participation in an examination, to withhold and/or invalidate the results of an examination, to withhold award of the Fellowship of the College, to withhold a certifocate, to revoke a certificate, or to take other appropriate action. The WACP will report findings of irregular behaviour to the Medical & Dental Council of the Country where the candidate practices, to other Postgradute Medical Colleges in the West African Region and otherorganization or individual or individual who, in the judgement of the WACP, has a legitimate interest in such information.
d. Code of conduct including dress code for the candidates shall be stricly enforced. The College has zero-tolerance policy to examination malpractices. 
e. Cases of chande of examination centre after submission of application form shall no longer be entertained.
f. Cases of request for change of faculty after submission of application of form shall not be entertained.
DEFERMENT OF EXAMINATION AFTER APPLICATIONS IS NO LONGER ACCPTABLE 
All application forms must be accopanied with "DOCUMENTS INCLUDED CONTROL FORM" which could be downloaded from  the website along with the application form.
AND MUST APPEND THEIR FORMAL SIGNATURE IN THE SPACE PROVIDED ON THE APPLICATION FORM.
Candidates are advised to send appliction forms by courier service andnot by ordinary postage . 
Candidates in the THIRD Trimester of pregnancy OR in the EARLY Postnatal Period may Not apply.
Note: For Membership examinations in all faculties of the West African College of Physicians, only candidates who have performed satisfactorily in the theory papers would allowed to proceed with the rest of the examinations.
CLOSING DATE
The closingfate for the submission of completed application forms is forms is friday jan 24th 2014. Candidates for the Fellowship Examination must have submitted  their dissertations or case books by the closing date . Lateness in submission of approved dissertation will not be entertained.
PENALTY FOR THE LATE SUMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS IS N16,000.00 OR $100 for one week and N32,000.00 OR $200 THEREAFTER for the second week.,
CANDIDATE STANDS DISQUALIFIED ONCE HE/SHE DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE COLLEGE WITHOUT OPTIONS TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM AFTER VETTING OF APPLICATION FORM.
All completeed Application forms must be submitted with:
1. Certificate of FULL registration with the Medical Council of the country (for Primary candidates alone).
2. Examination fess (orgiginal of teller) Primary/Membership as indicated above.
3. Relevant certificates and a copy o completed  Log Book .
4. Evidence of Training since passing Primay and Membership Examinations
5. Three (3) Stamped Self addressed envelops with N150 stamp on each.

7. All Fellowship candidates should male the following payments on a SEPARATE BANK DRAFT, in favoru of WACP
a. Evidence of payment of Membership $290 or N45,400.00
b. Annual dues for membership $80 or N12,800.00 
8. It is optional for all Laboratory Medicne Membership candidates to use personal microscope as may be required.
