The Nigerian Academy of Science (NAS) hereby invites Nigerian scientists, and other stakeholders to send original research for its 1st Annual Scientific Conference. The details of the Conference are as follows: The Role of Science in Attaining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Date: February 4th - 5th, 2020 University of Lagos, Akoka
The purpose of this conference is to bring together relevant stakeholders - policymakers, researchers, and the private sector - to discuss how Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) can serve as a tool for achieving sustainable development in Nigeria. The conference seeks to showcase original research under the following sub-themes:
- Science for poverty reduction
- Revitalizing Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education
- Innovations for health
- Energy solutions and environmental sustainability
- Up-scaling agricultural outputs for food security
Submission of Papers: To present original research at the conference, please send an abstract of your research (of no more than 500 words) to [email protected] with the subject line: NAS ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE (ABSTRACT) latest by December 4th December, 2019. Selected articles will also be considered for publication in the Academy's journal - the Proceedings of the Nigerian Academy of Science (PNgAS).
Participation: Participation in this conference is open to all interested researchers, particularly those from Nigerian tertiary institutions and research institutes. There is no conference registration fee; however, pre-registration is required.
