Three Prestigious Research Fellowship
 
The Medical Research Council and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine invites applications from West African and European Union nationals only for three prestigious health research fellowships. Applicants must be active clinical or non-clinical researchers with up to three years post doctoral research experience at the application deadline date, and preferably with experience of working with the Unit or the LSHTM, or both.
 
Each Fellow will undertake an original research project in the West African region and our two institutions. The project must be aligned with the research strengths of the two host organisations. Fellowships will be up to three years, and include salary, research and training support costs. Fellowships should strat between 1April and 30 June 2014.
 
The fellows will benefit from access to the exceptionally strong research and training resources of the two institutions and their partner organisations, enabling them to accelerate their scientific professional developement.
 
The MRC-LSHTM West African Global Health Research Fellowship Program is supported by a E1M award from the UK MRC, with partnership funding from the Institutional Strategic Support Fund from the Wellcome Trust and the LSHTM.

Applications in the prescribed format must be received by the Fellowship secretariate at the Unit by 16.00hours GMT on 9 October, 2013. Only applications that have been compleated and received by the deadline will be considered eligible.
 
Interviews will be held: January 2014.
