Anaesthetic Technicians In Training Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who wish to train as Anaesthetic Technicians in this Hospital. Institutions can sponsor candidates for the strictly non-residential Training. 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Candidates, who should be between the age of 17 and 30 years, must possess the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE). Knowledge of Science subjects will be an advantage. 

 

LENGTH OF COURSE: 

Three (3) Years. 

Lectures among others will be given in Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, General Care of Operating Theatre, Anaesthetic Equipment and Care of Patients under Anaesthesia, Special Techniques related to Anaesthesia Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Health Education. 

 

 

 At the end of the training, successful candidates who must be willing to perform shift duties will serve as Anaesthetic Technicians inAnaesthetics and work under the direction and supervision of Professional Anaesthetists. 

 

Training Fees:

N60, 000.00 (Sixty Thousand Naira) only for the three (3) years payable on admission into the Programme. 

 

Method of Application: 

Application Forms are obtainable from the Human Resource Department of the Hospital on payment of a non-refundable fee of N2, 000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) only into the UCH Revenue Account No. 0136534074 at FCMB (UCB Branch). The Bank Teller should be converted to a receipt in the office of the Assistant Director (Finance). Completed Application Forms together with three Referees' Report, photocopies of relevant certificates/credentials (including marriage certificate where applicable) and the receipt for the sum paid must be returned to:
