We seek applications from qualified candidates for the position of State Program Officer-Prevention and Mitigation in our USAID funded grant, aimed at strenthening intergrated Delivery of HIV/AIDS Services (SIDHAS). Successful candidate will be based in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State.
Position:  State Program Officer-Prevention and Mitigation
Specific Job/Responsibilities:
Provide technical assistance in project implementation and assign responsibilities to CBO staff in the States, taking into cognizance skills and ability of such staff to perform up to expectation.
Involved in advocacy activities and work in paternaship with the States and LGA, SACA, LACA, Health Management Board, CBO, and other influential partners.
Parcipate in meetings with the State Ministry of Health, Consortium partners, and other stakeholders.
Lead the preparation of State Programmatic and M&E reports and ensure timely submission of complete and effective documentations and reports to the Deputy Director, Programs.
Review reports from project team and ensure that they correctly reflect project performance on the field.
Lead and maintain contact with government agencies, donors, partners and other stakeholders on belhalf of the organization in the States.
Plan, organize, conduct and evaluate trainings and participate in the review and development of training materials.
Ensure that project transactions are kept within the limits of the budget, and grant funds are expendede in efficient and effective manner.
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with Medical degrees, M.D, B.Sc, in health management, Social sciences, Public health or related field, Higher degrees such as MPH with 5-7 years post national youth srevice corps experience at the community levels will be an added advantage. Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems, CBOs and strong background in HIV Care and support programming for vulnerable children, HIV/Reproductive health and TB/HIV intergration are higly desriable. Preference will br given to candidates from the project selected Staes with demonstrated relevant previous experience.
