We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health (ASRH) Officer
Location: Dikwa, Borno
Employment Type: Contract
Responsibilities
- Take lead and provide guidance in education sessions to Peer Educators and Community female Mentors on the subject on SRH and Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health services respectively.
- Check punctuality and discipline of ASRH volunteers/Peer educator and Community Female Mentors
- Conduct group education sessions and individual counselling on sexual reproductive health services including Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health.
- Conduct trainings on ASRH to target improving the quality of health of young adults and mothers (Use of the GBV Counselling Tools, Youth-Friendly Health Services, Family Planning, Interpersonal Communication Skills, Organizing Young Mothers’ Support groups, others).
- Implement the mothers support group series of activities of the Adolescent First-time mothers/parents intervention.
- Maintain confidentiality and manage daily records of beneficiaries.
- Develop and adapt all relevant ASRH IEC materials for the program facilities as well as ensure re-printing of important ASRH publications for dissemination.
- Conduct refresher training of peer educators (PE) and community female mentor (CFM) on ASRH.
- Participate and assist in organizing the sensitization campaign on SRH and ASRH services in the community.
- Providing technical support in community health education team in matter of SRH and ASRH services
- Organize and conduct campaigns related to ASRH
- Organize community dialogue meeting with partners, religious and community leaders to introduce ASRH services/ Youth friendly corners and mobilize their support
- Make sure that the safe space is functional and clean at all times.
- Be able to present the project progress and data related to the programs during the health and nutrition coordination meeting
- Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reports of the activities
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
- A B.Sc. in Nursing, Master's Degree in Public Health or its related field
- 2 - 5 years of working experience and implementing ASRH programme in emergencies.
- The contract is for 7 months with posibility of extension
- Strong experience in GBV programming an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Has excellent planning and well organized.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Hausa
- Fluency in Kanuri, Shuwa will be an added advantage.
- Good experience working in Northeast Nigeria especially knowledge working in Dikwa will be an added advantage.
- Experience in implementing gender-transformative approaches to health.
- Flexible and can adapt to prevailing environment.
- Comfortable living and working in Dikwa.

Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within GREENCODE and amongst beneficiaries served by GREENCODE.
