PREAMBLE
Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Nigeria was established and licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria to operate as a Conventional Private University in January, 2005. The University provides qualitative education with strong moral conduct without discrimination on the basis of nationality, age, gender, political or religious belief. It has accreditation by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for all its academic programmes.
The University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its undergraduate programmes through the JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (U.T.M.E), Direct Entry and Inter-University Transfer. All Full-time undergraduate programmesare run for four(4) academic sessions except Law, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing and Agriculture, which run for five (5) academic sessions. Sandwich Degree Programmes run for five (5) contact sessions and Part-Time undergraduate programmes for five (5) academic sessions. There is also the JUPEB programme that runs for Nine (9) months. Part-Time/Sandwich options are programmes marked with an asterisk (*).

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
1. UNDERGRADUATE AND JUPEB PROGRAMMES
Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SAISSCE Examinations or their equivalents at not more than two (2) sittings in the subjects relevant to their proposed Undergraduate and JUPEB (Joint University Preliminary Examination Board) Programmes. English Language credit level is compulsory for all candidates. In addition, a credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory for candidates seeking admission into Degree Programmes in the Faculties of Health Sciences, Social Science, Management Sciences, Natural and Applied Sciences, Agriculture and some Education Courses.
2. SUB-DEGREE (DIPLOMA) PROGRAMMES
Applicants are required to have a minimum of four (4) Credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in the relevant subjects in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SISSCE. Thanawiyyah/Tawjihiyyah Certificate of an Arabic Senior Secondary School duly registered with the relevant State Authorities or equivalent to any of the above mentioned qualifications will be considered. Applicants for the Sub-degree Law Diploma Programmes must possess five (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB examinations or their equivalents at not more than two (2) sittings including English Language, Literature-in-English and any other three (3) Art/Social Science subjects and at least a pass in Mathematics. Applicants for Combined Law (Common and Islamic Law) must, in addition, have credit pass in Islamic Studies or Arabic
3. SANDWICH DEGREE PROGRAMMES
Applicants are required to have a minimum of five (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SISSCE examinations or their equivalents at not more than two (2) sittings for Contact one (1), while applicants with ND/NCE/HND certificate are admissible Into contact session Two (2).
4. PART-TIME DEGREE PROGRAMMES
Applicants are required to have a minimum of five (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SISSCE examinations or their equivalent at not more than two (2) sittings for 100 level, while applicants with ND/NCE/HND/A'LEVEL certificate are admissible into 200 LEVEL.
5. POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
I. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): Applicants must possess a first degree from Al-Hikmah University, llorin or any other recognized University. Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) 3rd Class Honours Degree are also eligible.
ii. Master's Degree: Applicants for the academic Master's degree programmes who are graduates of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin or any other recognized University, must possess a minimum of Second Class Honours Degree (Lower Division) provided they score a minimum of 50% in the qualifying examination to be administered by the University.
iii. Ph.D.: Applicants must possess a Master's degree with a CGPA of at least 3.5 on a 5.0 point scale or 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale and must demonstrate adequate intellectual capacity, maturity and effective decision making and problem solving potentials.
Candidates are expected to submit their academic transcripts to The Dean, Postgraduate School, Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
I. Applicants for Undergraduate Full-Time Programmes are to pay N2,000, Undergraduate Part-Time Programmes N5,000, Sub-Degree (Diploma) Programmes N5,000, Sandwich and Postgraduate Programmes (PGD) N10,000 while Masters and Ph.D. programmes are to pay N20,000 at www.alhikmahuniversity.edu.ng

III. All credentials should be uploaded while completing the online application form.
IV. Candidate must:-
a. Print the duly completed form and two copies of referee form.
b. Present the evidence of payment to the University Bursary Department to obtain an official receipt.
c. Present the duly completed form with relevant credentials (Original Be Photocopy) and official receipt at the Admissions Office for screening.
