Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist

Location: Ojodu Berger, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

 

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Review and validate prescriptions to ensure accuracy, safety, and appropriateness.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services in collaboration with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor patient drug therapy and make recommendations for dosage adjustments where necessary.
• Counsel patients on the proper use of medications and possible side effects.
• Ensure proper storage, dispensing, and documentation of all medications.
• Participate in ward rounds and clinical meetings when required.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records in line with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with all professional, legal, and ethical guidelines governing pharmacy practice.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff where applicable.
• Assist in inventory management and ensure availability of essential drugs.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognized institution.
• Must be fully registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
• Valid practicing license.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting is an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• High level of professionalism and integrity.
