Care Shield Pharmaceutical is a community pharmacy that deals with drugs and other household products as well as other products.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Community Pharmacist

Location: Agbani Road, Enugu

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports to: Pharmacy Manager / Owner

 

Key Responsibilities

Dispensing Medications:

• Accurately fill and dispense prescription medications.
• Check for drug interactions, allergies, and proper dosages.
• Counsel patients on how to take their medications properly.

Patient Counseling & Education:

• Provide advice on the safe and effective use of medicines.
• Educate patients on potential side effects, interactions, and lifestyle modifications.
• Offer guidance on over-the-counter (OTC) medications.

Health Screening & Services:

• Conduct health checks (e.g. blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol).
• Provide immunizations and vaccinations.
• Offer smoking cessation and weight management services.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor stock levels and ensure medication availability.
• Order and receive pharmaceutical products.
• Ensure proper storage of medications.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Maintain accurate records of controlled substances.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and ethical standards.
• Stay updated with pharmacy regulations and best practices.

Team Management:

• Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns.
• Provide training and support for junior staff.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year work experience.
