ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

a) BIOMEDICAL TECHNOLOGY

Prospective candidates must possess five (5) O/L credits at WASC, NECO or GCE examination at not more than two(2) sittings. The five credits must be in the following subjects- Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language.

b) Community Health (CHEW)

i) Prospective candidates must possess five (5) O/L credits at WASC, NECO or GCE examination at not more than (2) sittings. The five credits must be in the following subjects, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English Language.

ii) Retrainee (CHEW): Prospective candidates must be holders of Junior Community Health Certificate (b) 2 years post qualification in addition to "b" requirements above.

iii)Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEW): Prospective candidates must possess three (3) credits at WASC, NECO, or GCE examination at not more than two (2) sittings. The three(3) credits must include, English Language, Mathematics, and any other two passes which include(i) One of Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Food and Nutrition and (ii) Anyone of Economics, Agricultural Science, Accounts and Commerce.

c) DENTAL SURGERY TECHNICIANS

Prospective candidates must possess five (5) O/L credits at WASC, NECO or GCE examination at not more than two (2) Sittings. The five credits must be in the following subjects- Biology, Physics, Chemistry Mathematics, and English Language

d) DISPENSING OPTICIANRY COURSE

Prospective candidates must possess four(4) O/L credits at WASC, NECO or GCE examination at not more than two (2) sittings. The four(4) credits must be in the following subjects- English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics or Biology.

e) ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGY

i) Environmental Health Technology (ND): Prospective candidates must possess five (5) O/L credits at WASC, NECO or GCE examination or its equivalents as may be approved by EHORECON or WAHEB at not more than two (2) sittings. The five credits must be in the following subjects- Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English Language.

ii) Environmental Health Technology (HND): Prospective candidates must possess a National Diploma (ND) in Environmental Health with evidence of completion of one (1) year of relevant work experience (IT) in addition to "ei" Above.

f) HEALTH EDUCATION/PROMOTION

Prospective candidates must possess four (4) O/L credits as WASC, NECO, or GCE examination at not more than two (2) sittings. These credits should include- Biology or Health Science, English Language, Mathematics, and any one of the following subjects Chemistry, Economics, Geography, Physics, Or Agricultural Sciences

g) HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

i) Health Information Technology (ND): Prospective candidates must possess five (5) O/L credits at WASC, NECO, or GCE examination at not more than two (2) sittings. The five credits must be in the following subjects- Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English Language.

ii) Health Information Technology (PD): Prospective candidates must possess five (5) O/L credits at WASC, NECO or GCE examination at not more than two (2) sittings. The five credits must be in the following subjects- Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English Languages.

iii) Health Information Technology (HND): Prospective candidates must possess a National Diploma (ND) in Health Information with evidence of completion of one (1) year of relevant work experience (IT) in addition to "gi" above.

h) MEDICAL LABORATORY  

Prospective candidates must possess five(5) O/L credits at WASC, NECO, or GCE examination at not more than two (2) sittings. The five credits must be in the following subjects- Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English language.

i) MEDICAL X-RAY

Prospective candidates must possess five (5) O/L credits at WASC, NECO or GCE examination at not more than two (2) sittings. The five credits must be in the following subjects- Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English Language

j) NUTRITION AND DIETETICS

i) Nutrition and Dietetics (ND): Prospective candidates must possess five (5) O/L credits at WASC, NECO or GCE examination at not more than two (2) sittings. The five credits must be in the following subjects - Biology or Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Mathematics English Language, and any one of the following; Physics, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Commerce, Health Sciences, Home Management, Basic Catering and Food Services.

ii) Nutritional and Dietetics (HND): Prospective candidates must possess every requirement in "ji" above, a minimum lower credit(2.50 and above) in the National Diploma (ND) examination, and a minimum of one year cognate work experience. In exceptional cases, ND with a CGPA of 2.49 in the National Diploma Examination (ND) that had 2 or more years of cognate experience in the specific field may be considered for admission into the HND programme.

k) PARAMEDICS

Prospective candidates must possess five (5) O/L credits at WASC, NECO, or GCE examination at not more than two (2) sittings. The five credits must be in the following subjects- Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language.

l) PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Prospective candidates must possess five (5) O/L credits at WASC, NECO, or GCE examination at not more than two (2) sittings. The five credits must be in the following subjects- Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English Language`

m)PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING(HND)

a)Prospective candidates must possess five (5) O/L credits at WASC, NECO, or GCE examination at not more than two (2) sittings. The five credits must be in the following subjects- Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English Language Plus b,c & d below

b. Registered Nurse (RN)

c. Registered Midwife (RM) certificate or other basic nursing certificate e.g Psychiatric Nursing certificate plus one year post qualification.

d. BNSC candidates from universities accredited by NUC, NMCN, and WAHEB.

i) HEALTH ASSISTANT ( CERTIFICATE)

Prospective candidates must possess five (5) passes at WASC, NECO or GCE examination at not more than two (2) sittings. Three (3) passes must be in the following subjects- Biology, English Language and Mathematics, and any other relevant subjects.

n) SCHOOL OF BASIC STUDIES (Duration 6 months)

Offers direct admission into all programme of the institution except national diploma programmes. Candidates must possess the minimum entry requirements for the programmes they which to run. Applicants are reporting, to the admission office immediately for further details.

  • Ensure that all spaces are correctly filled before the online submission of the form.
  • Candidates are expected to print out an acknowledgment identification card to be presented on the day of the entrance examination.
  • Candidates are to obtain PIN Voucher from any Zenith Bank or FCMB Nationwide on Payment of non-refundable of Nineteen Thousand Five Hundred Naira(N19,500) only. In addition, prospective candidates are to pay the sum of Two Thousand Naira(N2,000) online for the college past common entrance question booklet. The booklets are available at the admission office for collection.
