Qualifications

Lecturer Cadre

Assistant Lecturer CONPCASS 02

• The prospective candidate must possess a good Bachelor's Degree (minimum of Second-Class Lower Division) in a relevant discipline, plus a NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.

 

Lecturer III CONPCASS 03

• In addition to requirements above prospective candidates must have at least one journal article published/accepted for publication and two conference/seminar papers with at least five years teaching/research experience or Master's Degree plus at least two years teaching/research experience or a Doctorate Degree in relevant discipline plus three journal publications and three conference/seminar papers.

 

Lecturer II CONPCASS 05

• In addition to requirements above prospective candidates must have at least one more journal article published/accepted for publication and two conference/seminar papers with at least five years teaching/research experience or Master's Degree plus at least two years teaching/research or industrial work experience or a Doctorate Degree in relevant discipline plus three journal publications and three conference/seminar papers.

 

Lecturer I CONPCASS 06

• In addition to requirements above prospective candidates must have at least eight years teaching/research experience and two additional journal article published/accepted for publication plus two conference/seminar papers with at least or Master's Degree plus at least three years teaching/research experience plus two additional journal publications and five conference/seminar papers. Membership of relevant professional body is mandatory.

 

Laboratory Technologist Cadre

Technologist II (CONPCASS 2)

• Specialties: Science Laboratory Technology (Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, Physics Lab), Geological Technology, Statistics, Hospitality and Management Technology, Printing Technology, Office Technology and Management, Chemical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology. The candidate must possess a Higher National Diploma at credit level in relevant discipline, plus NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.

 

Technologist I (CONPCASS 3)

• Specialties: Science Laboratory Technology (Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, Physics Lab), Geological Technology, Statistics, Hospitality and Management Technology, Printing Technology, Office Technology and Management, Chemical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology. In addition to requirement above, candidates must have at least 6 years post qualification experience and evidence of at least one independent practical project.

Pharmacist Cadre

Senior Pharmacist (CONHESS 09)

• The Candidate must possess a good Bachelor's Degree (minimum of Second Class Lower Division) in Pharmacy with 3 years' relevant experience Candidate with a post-graduate qualification should have at least 2 years' relevant experience or a holder of master's degree in Pharmacology must have one-year post-qualification cognate experience with full Professional registration.

 

Health Records Assistant Cadre

The Candidate must possess Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) with four credits passes at a sitting or five credit passes at two sitting in relevant subjects

 

Technical Officer Cadre

Laboratory Assistants/Attendants (CONTEDISS 05)

• The candidate must possess a recognized National Diploma at Credit level or its equivalent in relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

 

Assistant Technical Officer (CONTEDISS 06)

• The candidate must possess a recognized National Diploma at credit level or its equivalent in relevant discipline.

 

Technical Officer (CONTEDISS 07)

• The candidate must possess a recognized National Diploma or its equivalent at credit level in a relevant discipline, plus at least three years post-qualification cognate experience.

Candidate's submission should be forwarded in a sealed envelope which should have the position applied for clearly indicated on its left-hand corner

Applicants should request their three (3) referees to send reports on them (on letterhead) under confidential cover directly to the Acting Registrar of the Polytechnic with the names of their candidates, the positions and the departments applied for, on the left-hand corner of the envelopes in which the references are forwarded.
