House of Representatives Committees on Healthcare Services Call for Memoranda

Following the resolution of the House of Representatives mandating the House Committee on Health Care Services to conduct a One Day Public Hearing on The Under listed Bills: 

  1. A Bill For An Act To Establish Cancer Registry To Make Provision For Compilation Of Statistics Record To The Incidence Of Cancer To Provide A Basis For Direction Of Programme For Research And For Cancer Treatment And For Related Matters (HB.110).
  2. A Bill For An Act To Amend The National Primary Healthcare Development Agency Act, Cap N69, Laws Of The Federation Of Nigeria, 2004; And For Related Matters (HB.39).
  3. A Bill For An Act To Establish The National Blood Service Commission To Coordinate Regulate And Ensure The Provision Of Quality Blood And Blood Products; And Related Matters (HB.181). 

2. In this regard, we are hereby inviting memoranda from all stakeholders particularly from the under listed

3. The Committee would also appreciate inputs from the intellectual class such as the Universities and Research institutions. 

4. We humbly request that you send One (1) soft copy in a flash drive and Fifty (50) hard copies of each typed memorandum which should be addressed to The Deputy Director /Clerk Committee on Health Care Services in H102, after Committee Room 17, 1st Floor, white House, House of Representatives Wings, National Assembly Complex, Abuja not later than Wednesday 15th July 2020. Receipt of Memoranda will end on Tuesday 21st July 2020 at 12noon. While the Public Hearing will commence as follows:

Date: Thursday 23rd July 2020

Time: 10:am daily

Venue: Conference Room 028, Zero Floor, New Building, House of Representative Wing, National Assembly Complex, Abuja. 

Please note that the Public Hearing will be conducted in line with COVID-19 Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) guidelines with strict adherence to wearing of face mask and observance of social distancing.
