Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Postgraduate programmes in the Postgraduate School, Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Niero for the 2023/2024 Academic Session: M. Sc. Full time M. Ed, M. Sc Ed, M. Phi(/Ph.D., Ph. D & PG0 full time. 1.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
(a) Postgraduate Diplomas
The following shall qualify for admission into Postgraduate Diploma programmes:
(i) Graduates of KSUSTA or any other recognized University with minimum of 3' class degree.
(ii) Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND, not /HD) with minimum of Lower Credit or its equivalent in related ands.
(iii) Holders of HND (not HD) in non related areas with minimum of Lower Credit. Such candidates may, however, be admitted after passing tests proscribed by the Department/Faculty in consultation with the Postgraduate School.
(iv) Candidates who hold qualifications other than the above which arc acceptable to the Board of Postgraduate School and Senate of the University.
(v) In addition to (i). (iv) above, a candidate must satisfy the University's matriculation requirements.
(b) Masters Degrees (Academic and Professional)
The following shall qualify for the Masters Degree admission:
(i) Graduates of KSUSTA or other recognized Universities who have obtained the approved Bachelor’s degree with at least second class honours lower division or its equivalent.
(ii) Candidates whose degrees are unclassified with average of "C' or 50%.
(iii) Candidates with only Bachelor's degree in third division who have at least three years relevant working experience.
iv) Candidates who possess HND (not HD) with at least a Lower Credit pass from recognized institutions and at least Lower Credit pass at Postgraduate Diploma of KSUSTA of any other recognized institution in the relevant auras.
(v) Candidates who hold qualifications other than the ones listed above. which are acceptable to the Board of Postgraduate School and Senate of the University.
(vi) Candidates may be required to pass examination prescribed by Postgraduate School in consultation with relevant Departments to which they are seeking admission to determine that suitability for postgraduate work.
(vii)ln addition to (i) (vi) above, a candidate must satisfy the University's matriculation requirements.
(c) Masters of Philosophy (M. Phil.)
The following shall qualify for the Masters of Philosophy admission:
(i) Graduates of KSUSTA and other recognized Universities re* have obtained good Masters Degrees with minimum GPA of not less than 3.5 on a 5 point scale or not less than 2.5 on a 4 point scale.
(ii) Candidates with the degree of Professional Masters with minimum CPA of 3.5 on a 5 point scale and at least a Bachelor's degree not below third class division; the degrees of such candidates shad terminate at M. Phil.
(iii) Candidates who have been recommended by their respective Departments to be upgraded from Masters to M. Phil.
(iv) M. Phil. candidates who have Ph.D. in view must possess a minimum of second - class bachelor's degree.
(v) Candidates who hold qualifications other than the ones listed above, which are acceptable to the Board of Postgraduate School and Senate of the University.
(vi) In addition to (1) – (iv) above, a candidate must satisfy the University’s matriculation requirements.
(d) Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)
The following shall qualify for the Doctor of Philosophy admission:
(i) Graduate of KSUSTA and other recognized Universities who have obtained good Masters Degree with GPA of 4.00 and above on a 5-point scale or 3.50 on a 4 - point scale appropriate to the proposed areas of study
(ii) Candidates whose Masters degree were through research only must have minimum of “B” grades or 60% score
(iii) Candidate who hold qualifications other than the ones listed above, which are acceptable to the Board of Postgraduate school and Senate of the University.
(iv) In addition to (i) – (ii) above, candidates must possess Bachelor’s degree in at least Second Class Lower Division.
(v) Candidates with relevant qualifications and must present acceptable research proposals.
(vi) In addition to (i) – (v) above, a candidate must satisfy the University’s Matriculation requirements.
NOTE: That Ph.D. Candidate looking for admission must seek the consent of the department for availability of supervisor before purchasing admission form

ii) A candidate must have a credit in one Science subject and any other two (2) from area of specialization
iii) Grade II with minimum of five (5) credits including English and Mathematics
iv) Graduates of KSUSTA or other recognized Universities who have obtained the approved Bachelor’s degree in Education with at least second class honours lower division or its equivalent.
v) Candidates with only Bachelor’s degree in third division who have at least three years relevant working experience.
vi) Candidates who possess lower credit pass at Postgraduate Diploma in Education of KSUSTA or any other recognized institution in the relevant areas.
vii) Candidates who hold qualifications other than the ones listed above, which are acceptable to the Board of Postgraduate School and Senate of the University.
viii) Candidates may be required to pass examination prescribed by Postgraduate School in consultation with relevant Departments to which they are seeking admission to determine their suitability for postgraduate work.
ix) In addition to (i)-(iv) above, a candidate must satisfy the University’s matriculation requirements.
b) Masters of Science Education (M.Sc, Ed)
The following shall qualify for the Masters of Philosophy admissions:
i) Five O’Level Credits including English and Mathematics.
ii) A candidate must possess in addition to (i) above credit in any other three (3) Science subjects and as the course may applied.
iii) Graduates of KSUSTA or other recognized Universities who have obtained the approved Bachelor’s degree in B.Sc, Ed. With at least second class honours lower division or its equivalent.
iv) Candidates with only Bachelor’s degree in third division who have at least three years relevant working experience
v) Candidates who posses Lower Credit pass at Postgraduate Dipoma in Education of KSUSTA or any other recognized institution in the relevant areas.
vi) Candidates who hold qualifications other than the ones listed above, which are acceptable to the Board of Postgraduate School and Senate of the University.
vii) Candidates may be required to pass examination prescribed by Postgraduate School in consultation with relevant departments to which they are seeking admission to determine their suitability for postgraduate work.
viii) In addition to (i) – (iv) above, a candidate must satisfy the University’s matriculation requirements.
