NOTICE ON INTRODUCTION OF A SPECIAL PROGRAMME FOR STUDENTS OF MEDICINE AND DENTISTRY SCHEDULED TO THEIR PROGRAMME IN JUNE 2022 IN UKRAINE BUT COULD NOT BE BEFORE THE WAR BROKE OUT

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) hereby informs all students of Medicine and Dentistry scheduled to finish their program in Ukraine in June 2022 but could not before the war broke out, their Parents and Guardians, other Stakeholders, and the General Public that MDCN has put up a six (6) months special program to compensate for the period missed at the time.

The program is scheduled to start in February 2024

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• The program shall be for medical and dental students who trained in Ukraine but could not finish their program because of the war in 2022
• Interested applicants must have submitted their certificates and transcripts to the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria
• Those who qualify after 2022 are not eligible to apply

REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION

Registration is to be done through the MDCN website: https://portal.mdcn.gov.ng/remediation/programme. Interested applicants are also required to provide electronic copies of the following:

• Photocopies of all relevant academic qualifications i.e GCE/SSCE/NECO or its equivalent (with five (5) credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at not more than two sittings) and medical/dental degree certificates.
• Relevant portions of International Passport (Visa & Departure pages).
• Colour passport-size photograph.
•  Birth certificate or statutory declaration of age.

VENUE OF THE SPECIAL TRAINING PROGRAMME

The Special Programmed is to be held at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, Abuja

Important to note:

• Applicants are to note that Eligibility for the Council’s Assessment Examination will be based on confirmation of a minimum of 75% attendance at the Programmed

NON-REFUNDABLE TRAINING FEES FOR THE SPECIAL PROGRAMME

• One million, five hundred thousand naira only (N1,500,000.00)
• Other charges (Dental materials for dental candidates only): N100,000.00

Please note that the fee is exclusive of Accommodation and feeding and interested students are expected to complete payment within two (2) weeks of this publication.
