St. Dominic Catholic Hospital is a 64 bed hospital located in Ogungbade, off New Ife road Ibadan. St Dominic Catholic Hospital is the vision of the Dominican Sisters of St Catherine of Siena (Italy). We offer various medical services such as: General medicine, internal medicine, O & G, Laboratory, and Radiology, to mention just a few. The hospital is run in collaboration with foreign partners. We are registered and licensed by the Corporate Affairs Commission and the Ministry of Health. Also, we are accredited by the NHIS as both primary and secondary healthcare providers.

Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Lab Technician to support laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses following established procedures
• Prepare and maintain samples, reagents, and laboratory equipment
• Record, analyze, and report test results accurately
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of samples and chemicals
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory workspace
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments regularly
• Follow all safety, health, and quality control regulations
• Assist senior scientists or researchers in ongoing projects

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field
• Proven experience in a laboratory setting (preferred but not always required)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety procedures
• Good communication and record-keeping skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key Skills:

• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Time management and multitasking ability
• Familiarity with lab software and documentation systems

Salary

N60,000 - N90,000 monthly.
