COMMENCEMENT OF COMPUTER AIDED OBJECTIVE STRUCTURED CLINICAL EXAMINATION (CA-OSCE) FOR ALL POST BASIC NURSING PROGRAMMES 

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria has concluded arrangements to commence CA-OSCE for all Post Basic Nursing Programmes with effect from May 2023 Professional examination. 

The format for the Computer Aided – Objective Structured Clinical Examination (CA-OSCE) is as follows:

1. It consists of six stations made up of three (3) procedures and three (3) question stations. 
2. Each question station consists of twenty (20) questions related to the preceding procedure station. 
3. Candidates are expected to complete each station in 10 minutes
4. Movement of candidates during OSCE is clockwise.

The other aspects of the Practical exams include Research and Viva which shall be graded and uploaded in the exam server before the CA-OSCE. 

Heads of institutions are expected to provide functional laptops for use during the CA-OSCE. Details related to laptop specifications will be communicated to you in due course.
