The Governing Board of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria at its 596 General Meeting held from 19'h to 201h October. 2022 has approved the FULL implementation of Computer Based Test (CUT) for all professional Examinations conducted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
2. You may recall that all the services rendered by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria have been completely digitalised except the conduct of its professional examinations and scoring process.
3. In line with the global best practices, the Council wishes to inform you of the commencement of one hundred percent (100%) CBT examination with the November, 2022 Professional Examination for General/Post Basic Nursing which is expected to hold from 1' to 3' November, 2022. The Council has identified standard CBT centres across the thirty-six (36) States and Federal Capital Territory where the examination will take place.
4. In view of the above, the Professional Examination for General/Post Basic Nursing, November, 2022 shall take place at Council's accredited and approved CBT centres across the thirty-six (36) States and Federal Capital Territory and each centre will accommodate a maximum of 250 candidates.
5. Please note the following;
· That there shall be no theory examination henceforth
· That the CBT examinations shall contain objective questions ONLY.
· Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) will be conducted in the usual pattern only for November, 2022 examination.
· Henceforth, all professional Examinations conducted by the Council shall be computer based.
· That the CBT centres to be used by institutions will be communicated to the States’ Directors of Nursing Services and Heads of institutions in due course.
6. Kindly give this circular the urgent attention it deserves and bring the content to all concerned.
