Nigeria Association of Primary Health Care Workers (NAPHCW) Congratulations Message as Nigeria is Wild Polio Virus Free

Posted on: Wed 08-07-2020

All members of our association from across Nigeria join our compatriots in congratulating Mr President, Muhammadu Buhari,GCFR, on the occasion of the declaration of Nigeria as Wild Polio Virus free by the World Health Organisation.

This is no mean feat for our country. We must thank the Buhari Administration for putting the right resources to break the polio jinx which has consistently evaded the nation for more than three decades.

We commend the staff and leadership of National Primary Health Care Development Agency for the new vigour they brought into the war against polio in the past three years.

The innovations introduced by the Executive Director/CEO of the Agency, Dr Faisal Shuaib are indeed winning strategies.

As frontline health workers, we appreciate the new initiatives by the present NPHCDA helmsman and his management and we commend their patriotic spirit.

We congratulate all members of our association in all the states of the federation for their sacrifices and we implore all our colleagues to continue to remain safe in the face of COVID19 pandemic.

We thank all the other health workers who have made huge contributions which have led to the glory we celebrate today.

Congratulations, Nigerians for allowing us access to your homes to immunize your children.

We thank mothers, caregivers and millions of under five children out there for their cooperation with the vaccination teams.

You are aware that immunization campaigns will have to continue to keep the Wild Polio Virus locked out of our country, for good.

Congratulations to all Nigerians!

Signed:

Mazi Linus Mbonu

President General
