Nigeria Police Academy Wudil, Kano State Application for Admission into the 9th Regular Course of the Degree Programmes

SALE OF APPLICATION FORMS 

1. Applications are invited from qualified and interested members of the public for admission into the 9th Regular Course Degree Programmes of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State. The online application portal will be opened for the period of six (6) weeks from in August, 2022 to 12th September 2022, where prospective applicants are required to complete the online application forms and submit same within the specified period. Admission into the Academy is opened to both male and female Nigerians of good character.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS 

2. The Admission requirements for the Online application are as follow:

a. Applicants shall be of Nigerian origin by birth and possess National Identity Number (NIN), JAMB result (2022 only) with not less than 180 marks, and must have selected Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil as first choice in the JAMB form. 

b. Applicants must possess a minimum of 6 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WAEC/NECO with credit passes in English and Mathematics. 

c. Applicants must be aged between 17-22 years by 3r October, 2022. 

d. Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit and must not be less than 1.67m tall for male and 1.64m tall for female. 

e. Applicants must not have less than 86cm (34 inches) expanded chest measurement (for male only).

f. Female Applicant must not be married or pregnant at the time of admission 

g. Applicant must have a valid email address and phone number. 

h. SSCE (WAEC/NECO) statement of results or certificates relating to examinations taken before 2017 will not be accepted. 

METHOD OF APPLICATION 

3. Interested Applicants are advised to go to the Nigeria Police Academy's Website: www.polac.edu.ng in order to obtain or generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code. The RRR can be used to make payment of non-refundable fee of Five Thousand Naira (N5000.00) only (N2,000 for POST UTM E Examination is included) through any commercial Bank Branch in Nigeria. This will allow the applicant to fill in the online application form. In addition, applicants are required to upload scanned copy of their WAEC/NECO results (Only results printed out with WAEC, NECO result PIN/card will be accepted), Birth and Certificate of Origin. Applicants must print their completed online form, guarantor form and submit same at the various designated centres nationwide for the automated physical screening exercise. 

4. AUTOMATED PHYSICAL SCREENING EXERCISE 

a. Invitation of applicants that meet up with the online registration requirements for automated physical screening exercise across the 17 (seventeen) Zonal Headquarters in the country would be from 19`" to 25th September, 2022.

b. Applicants to present the originals of the following documents in the Automated Physical Screening Exercise: 

  • Educational Qualifications 
  • Birth Certificates/Declaration of Age 
  • Evidence of physical/mental fitness from a government recognized medical officer. 
  • Evidence of good character from village/district head of the applicant. 
  • Indigene Certificate signed by Local Government Chairman or Secretary. 
  • Guarantor Form from a Public Servant not below GL12, Police Officer not below the rank of CSP or its equivalent from the Armed Forces and other Paramilitary Services. 

S. APTITUDE TEST 

The successful Applicants would be made to undergo an aptitude test (Computer Based) which would be conducted in the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, ICT Centre Kano State, on a date to be communicated later. 

6. AUTOMATED MEDICAL SCREENING 

Applicants who scale through in the Aptitude Test (Computer Based) will be invited for automated Medical Screening which would be conducted in the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil. 

7. AUTOMATED INTERVIEW/SELECTION EXERCISE 

The successful Applicants would further undergo Automated Interview/selection 

8. All successful Applicants will be notified via their email-address and SMS. 

9. Training of prospective Applicants will commence at the Academy on a date to be communicated later.

11. NATURE AND DURATION OF THE COURSES

Applicants admitted into the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil degree course will undergo a combined Academic and Police training for a minimum period of five (5) years leading to Bachelors' degrees and commission into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police U (ASP).
