Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following Nursing Programmes of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife: 

1. Basic General Nursing 
2. Post Basic General Nursing 
3. Post Basic Midwifery 
4. Post Basic Perioperative Nursing 

I. BASIC GENERAL NURSING 

This is a three-year programme commencing in October, 2021. 

Requirements 

Applicants must possess: WAEC, SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE with five (5) credits (at not more than two sittings) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. He or she should be at least sixteen (16) years old on admission.

Method of Application 

Application forms are obtainable online from the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife website: www.oauthc.com at Eight Thousand Naira (N8,000.00) only. 

The OAUTHC Schools of Nursing both at Ile Ife and Ilesa respectively have been accredited by the National Board of Technical Education to run National Diploma (ND) in Nursing. 

Hence, applicants are advised to obtain JAMB form and also sit for JAMB Entrance Examination for Tertiary Institutions so as to enable successful candidates regularize their admission with JAMB as soon as they are admitted into the OAUTHC Schools of Nursing. 

Mode of Examination 

The examination will be Computer Based Test (CBT). 

Closing Date 

The closing date is Tuesday, 17th August, 2021.

Date of Entrance 

Examination Entrance examination shall be conducted by the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Nursing and Midwifery Central Selection Committee between Tuesday, 24th August, 2021 and Wednesday, 25th August, 2021. 

II POST BASIC GENERAL NURSING 

This is an eighteen-month programme commencing in April, 2022. 

Requirements 

Applicants must: 

i. Possess WAEC, SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE with 5 credits (at not more than two sittings) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. 

ii. Be a registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

Application forms are obtainable online from the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife website: www.oauthc.com  upon payment of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00). 

Closing Date 

The closing date is Thursday, 29th July, 2021. 

Test and Selection Interview 

Written Test—Tuesday, 3rd August, 2021.

Oral Interview—Wednesday, 4' and Thursday, 5th August, 2021. 

III. POST BASIC MIDWIFERY 

This is an eighteen-month programme commencing in September, 2021 

Requirements 

Applicants must: 

i. Possess WAEC, SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE with five (5) credits (at not more than two sittings) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. 

ii. Possess Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as a Registered Nurse.

IV. POST BASIC PERIOPERATIVE NURSING 

This is a twelve-month programme commencing in November, 2021. 

Requirements 

Applicants must: 

I. Possess credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in not more than two (2) sittings. 

ii. Possess Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as a Registered Nurse.

Oral Interview — Wednesday, 28th and Thursday, 29th July, 2021.
