The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), a Federal Government agency mandated to develop indigenous human capacity and petroleum technology for the oil and gas industry, hereby invites applications from suitably qualified Nigerians for its 2025/2026 In-Country Scholarship Scheme (ISS).

The Scheme provides financial support for undergraduate and postgraduate (MSc and PhD) studies in oil and gas, energy and related management disciplines in accredited public universities across Nigeria.

 

Key Details

1. The application portal opens on Monday, 27th April 2026, and closes on Friday, 5th June 2026
2. Application must be Nigerian citizens seeking undergraduate or postgraduate (MSc and PhD) degrees in relevant oil and gas disciplines.
3. Applicants must have secured full-time admission into a Federal or State university in Nigeria.
4. Applicants must possess a valid National Identity Number (NIN).
5. Candidates currently benefiting from other scholarship or who have previously received a PTDF scholarship in the same or lower category are not eligible.
