Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Lagos

 

Job Description

Assists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, processing insurance claims, and providing customer service.

 

Responsibilities

• Here's a more detailed breakdown of a pharmacy technician's typical duties:

 

Preparing and Dispensing Medications:

• Receiving and verifying prescriptions.
• Preparing medications for dispensing, including filling prescriptions, labeling, and packaging.
• Ensuring medications are properly stored and dispensed.

 

Inventory Management:

• Maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Ordering and stocking medications.
• Identifying and managing expired medications.

 

Insurance Claims Processing:

• Processing insurance claims for medications.
• Verifying patient insurance information.
• Assisting patients with understanding insurance coverage.

 

Customer Service:

• Answering customer questions about medications and procedures.
• Assisting patients with picking up their prescriptions.
• Providing information to patients about their medications.

 

Other Duties:

• Assisting with compounding medications.
• Filling automated dispensing machines.
• Repackaging bulk medications.
