The University of Benin Teaching Hospital, College of Nursing Sciences is offering a one-year Post Basic Nursing Certificate training programme leading to the award of Registered Post Basic Nurse Certificate in the Department of Post Basic Nursing Studies in the 2026/2027 Academic Session in the following programmes:

• • Critical Care Nursing  
• • Gerontology Nursing  
• • Ophthalmic Nursing  
• • Perioperative Nursing  
• • Paediatric Nursing  
• • Accident and Emergency Nursing

Entry Requirements

Candidates must:

• • Be 18 years or above.  
• • Possess five credit passes in WASSCE/GCE/NECO in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry, obtained in not more than two sittings (upload original scanned copy).  
• • Upload a Registered Nurse (RN) Certificate.  
• • Possess at least one-year cognate experience post registration.  
• • Upload a reference letter from the applicant's last (or current) employer.  
• • Upload a current, valid practicing licence.  
• • Upload a letter of financial support.
• Note: Only original, clearly scanned documents should be uploaded.

Collection of Application Form

Application forms are obtainable online from UBTHCONS website: https://conubth.edu.ng/create-profile/ with an uploaded receipt of a non-refundable fee of Twenty Thousand Naira (20,000.00) payable to UBTH Treasury Single Account (TSA) via the REMITA platform in any commercial bank under the service type "Training School - Department Postgraduate Nursing Studies, College of Nursing Sciences".

Candidates must upload their completed application forms and other listed documents online.
