The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Benin City, Edo State, is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Institute of Health Sciences and Technology for the 2025/2026 academic session.

  Duration: ND – 2 years, HND – 2 years
• Environmental Health Technology
  Duration: ND – 2 years, HND – 2 years
• Orthopaedic Cast Technology
  Duration: ND – 2 years
• Dispensing Opticianry
  Duration: ND – 2 years
• Biomedical Engineering Technology
  Duration: ND – 2 years, HND – 2 years
• Paramedics Technology
  Duration: ND – 2 years

Certificate, Diploma & Higher Diploma Programmes (JAMB Not Required)

• Anaesthetic Training Programme – 3 years
• Dental Surgery Technician – 3 years
• Mortuary Science, Management and Funeral Services – 1 year
• Community Health Officers
  • Special: B.Sc (1 year)
  • Regular: 2 years

Entry Qualifications

A minimum of five credit passes in not more than two sittings in WASSCE, NECO, or GCE O/L. Subjects must include:

• English Language
• Mathematics
• Chemistry
• Physics
• Biology
• Health Sciences in lieu of Biology is acceptable for Paramedics Technology and Environmental Health Technology.

ND candidates must have written the 2025 UTME (JAMB) with a minimum score of 150.

Applicants for Biomedical Engineering Technology may present a pass in subjects like woodwork, auto mechanics, basic electricity, technical drawing, and fine art for added advantage.

HND candidates must have:

• Five relevant O/L credits
• National Diploma with at least a lower credit
• One-year post-ND cognate work experience
• A valid professional license

• N12,000 for Diploma Certificate Programmes and Direct Entry (HND)
• N2,000 to obtain the Post UTME screening form for JAMB candidates

All exams are strictly computer-based (CBT).

Candidates must submit their printed slip to the Registrar’s Office on or before the date of the Post UTME.
