Notice is hereby given to all Practitioners of Medical Laboratory Science that the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) will publish the temporary Directory/Register of Practitioners in good standing with her by 31st July, 2017 in fulfilment of one of its mandates, ref Section 4 (d) CAP M25, LFN (2004) also known as MLSCN ACT 11, 2003.

The notice has become imperative in meeting the demands of employers of labour ( Ministries, Departments, Agencies, Federal Executive Bodies, Armed Forces, Police Force, Paramilitary Services, State Governments, Local Governments etc,) who have continued to request for the Directory of Medical Laboratory Practitioners in order to assist them in employing only Practitioners that are in good standing with the Council.

It should be noted that only the names of Practitioners that are licenced as at 31st July, 2017 will be published in the Temporary Directory of Practitioners that will be released on the same date.

There is still ample opportunity for Practitioners that are yet to pay for licences/AMLSN Dues or update their records with the Council to do so before the date of publication as stated above in order for their names to be included in the Directory as the Council will not be liable for denial of Appointment and/or Promotion on account of missing names of Practitioners not in good standing as at that date.

It should be emphasized that the final Directory/Register for the year will be released to the public and employers of labour after effecting the corrections that may have appeared in the Temporary Directory/Register, by 31st December, 2017.

This notice should be treated as urgent.
