  	. A National Diploma of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology (IMLT) plus registration with the Medical Laboratory Council of of Nigeria of Health Technology (MLCHT)
  	. D.R.C (London) in Radiography and any other equivalent qualification registered with the Association of Radiographers of Nigeria
  	. BS.c in Radiography registered with the association of Radiographers of Nigeria
  	Qualifications For Professional Areas of Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing
  	1. Assistant Lecturer/Pharmacist
  	The ist professional degree such as:
  	i. MBBS, BDS
  	ii. B.Pharm
  	iii. BNSc Nursing
  	iv. Professional registration in addition to (i)(iii)
  	2. Lecturer II
  	. As in (i) above plus a minimum of 3 years cognate teaching experience
  	. As in (i) above plus a masters degree
  	. Pharm. D plus professional registration
  	3. Lecturer I
  	. MBBS, plus possession of the final or part II of the relevant fellowship certificate. For Pharmacists, Masters degree and Pharm.D plus professional registration
  	. Ph.D plus professional registration
  	4. Senior Lecturer, Reader and Professor
  	. As in Lecturer I (a) and (b) above plus appropriate numbers of schorlarly publications as evidence of good research ability plus 3 years residency at each level
  	5. Senior Lecturer (as applicable to medical staff)
  	. MBBS plus possesion of the final or part II of the relevant fellowship certificate eg. FNMC/Fellow of Nigeria or West African Medical College and preferably a Ph.D from a recognised University plus 8 foreign index journal articles of which 6 must be in print
  	. Ph.D plus a registration with 8 foreign index journal articles out of which 6 must be in print
  	6. Qualification For Clinical Instructor (Nursing)
  	. NRN & NRM with at least 2 years of General and Specialised Nursing experience
  	OR
  	. BNSc degree and NYSC plus registration and 2 years post qualification experience
  	QUALIFICATIONS FOR TECHNOLOGIST/TECHNICIAN CADRE
  	1. Higher Technical Officer/Technologist II
  	. BSc/HND/HNC with NYSC
  	. Full Technical Certificate or its equivalent registrable with relevant professional body , 3 years residency
  	2. Senior Technical Officer/Technologist I 
  	. As in (I) (a) above with 3 years working experience
  	. As in (I)(b) above plus 6 years relevant experience
  	 3. Principal Technical Officer I/Principal Technologist 
  	. As in (I)(a) above, registered with the appropriate body with 9 years post registration experience
  	. As in (I)(b) above with 12 years relevant experience
  	4: Chief Technical Officer/Chief Technologist
  	. As in (I)(a) above, registered with appropriate body with 15 years post registration experience
  	. As in (I)(b) above plus 18 years relevant experience
  	5. Laboratory Attendant
  	. WASC/SSCE/NECO/GCE with 3 credits in Maths or physics, chemistry and biology
  	. Basic Training Laboratory Certificate (BTLC) lower credit
  	Qualification For Medical Laboratory Scientist Cadre
  	I. Medical Laboratory Scientist
  	. A good ist degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), plus registration with the institute of Medical Laboratory Technology of Nigeria (MLTN) plus NYSC
  	Qualification For Medical Laboratory Technician Cadre 
  	II. Higher Medical Laboratory Technician
  	. Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology plus 3 years registration experience with the institute of Laboratory Technology of Nigeria
  	CONDITIONS OF SERVICE AND SALARY
  	The conditions of service are comparable to those generally obtainable in institutions of higher learning in the country.
