We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Medical Sonologist /  Sonographer, Cardiographer and a Radiographer

Location: Asaba, Delta State
Department: Imaging

Position Summary for Medical Sonologist / Sonographer

• An overall and complete knowledge in Ultrasound, Colposcope, ECG, EEG, X-ray, Mammography procedures, techniques, operations, maintenance and functions.
• Performs Ultrasound, Colposcope, ECG, EEG, X-ray, Mammography diagnostic procedures as directed by physicians.
• Ability to explain procedures and Ultrasound, Colposcope, ECG, EEG, X-ray, Mammography analyses results to patients in a cooperated manner.
• Making the patients relax and comfortable while carrying out medical diagnosis.
• Following up infection prevention procedures according to standard guidelines.

Problem Solving:

• Manages an evolving clinical picture and identify impending changes in patient condition.

Information Management:

• Analyzes complex data sets to improve patient care delivery systems.

Competencies
Education:

• Possession of an MBBS / B.Sc. (Hons) Radiography (Medical Diagnostics Imaging) / Physiology.
• Post graduate diploma in Sonology (Optional).
• Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) Certification (Optional).
• Any other related professional bodies certifications (Optional).
• Knowledge on MRI and CT scan is an added advantage.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of ultrasound/sonology procedures.
• Knowledge of current health care environment.

Skills:

• Good leadership and mentorship skills.
• Ability to handle pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Decisiveness and determination.
• Interest and concern in patient care.
• Rational approach

Required license & certification:

• Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria - Certificate of Practicing License

Work Experience:

• Three (3) years Professional experience is an added advantage.
