The theme of this workshop;
"Enhancing Good Laboratory Science Practice (GLP): the place of Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM)", has become necessitated especially in our era where task shifting and professional diversity have now become another sweet icing on the cake for passionate young scientists who want to be professionally relevant, useful and compete favourably with beautiful outcomes in the Nigerian labour market. Hence, the need as Medical Laboratory Scientists' to be better acquainted and properly educated on the various opportunities buried in this neglected but high rewarding career in the medical domain.

We want to therefore, use this medium to call on all the Young Medical Laboratory Scientists within the country and beyond, Senior Medical Laboratory Scientists and other interested health professionals to take this opportunity as golden to attend this workshop which is made available and accessible at little or no cost. This is important because, we as responsible and passionate youth forum sees this as a channel and direct portal of enlightenment to enable everyone drink the sweet nourishing milk expressively available from the fount of this workshop.

We want to use this privilege to reiterate unequivocally for the umpteen time, draw the attention of the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Presidency, National Assembly, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labour, Employment and Productivity, State and Local Governments, the Judiciary, the Media and general public to do all within their powers to restore with swift alacrity the industrial harmony and peace that was once enjoyed in the health sector before the strike by acceding to the legitimate demands agitated for by JOHESU for the sake of fairness, equity and justice.

The government is also urged as a matter of urgency not to turn a blind eye and deaf ears to the plight and cries of the poor masses who are hardest hit by the consequences of this rather unfortunate work cessation by JOHESU, as this would obliterate and corrode in its entirety, the trust and love of the Nigerian people who voted them in to genuinely represent and fight for their interest. This is the time for the Federal Government of Nigeria to prove to the Nigerian people, her sincere interest in the welfare and health needs of its citizenry by doing the needful to restore the striking workers to our various States and Federal Teaching Hospitals. The time to act is now!

At this juncture we want to categorically, appreciate and acknowledge all those who are doing everything possible to add value to the lives and people of this great country through their genuine services for our continued sustenance and growth as a nation.

We will continue to advance and promote the core values and tenets of the Medical Laboratory Science profession through our advocacy, partnership with other healthcare practitioners and leadership.
