Resolutioins on Implementation of Adjusted CONMESS and Corrected Call Duty Allowance for Medical Doctors

A stakeholders meeting between the committee of CMDs/MDs and the Nigerian Medical Association on Implementation of adjusted CONMESS and corrected call duty allownace for Medical doctors was held on tuesday 24th february 2015
 
Medicalworld Nigeria has reliably gathered that after exhaustive deliberations, it was agreed that the implementation of the adjusted CONMESS and corrected call duty allownace for medical doctors should commence immediately.
 
It was also resolved that:
- Hospitals should also pay the full new rates to all on GIFMIS and e-payment
- Any hospital that is unable to pay full should pay the percentage only for the three months of january and february 2015 while the NMA and committee of CMDs/ MDs jointly work to effect correction in the march salary
- A committee of stakeholders which should be inclusive of the representatives of NMA, committee of CMDs/MDs, budget office, federal ministry of health, accountant general fo the federation and federal ministry of finance should be constituted urgently to accelerate the resolutions of gray areas including funding for residency training.
 
The need for doctors especially the junior ones to adhere to the physicians oath was also reiterated while the committee of CMDs/ MDs was directed to conduct a head count (forensic assessment) of their staff to help with staff auditing
