Medical laboratory testing is the cornerstone of diagnosing HIV, Tuberculosis, Malaria, and other diseases, with Africa carrying the largest most overwhelming burden in order to ensure reliability and accurate laboratory must be properly equipped and laboratory workers must be properly trained. With the support of USAID, the Association of medical Laboratory Scientists (AMLSN) has taken an innovation step towards developing online training opportunities for medical laboratory Scientists by authoring eLearning courses accredited by the medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSC) for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits
POSITION: Project Coordinator (reports to AMLSN National President)
LOCATION: Abuja, Nigeria
Position Summary 
The Project Coordinator serves as the Project's principal point of contact in Nigeria for procedural and substantive matters. S/he provides oversight of project planning,  Implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. The Project Coordinator suoerv.ses and works closing with the Deputy Coordinator and Finance/Administrative Manager to monitor and ensure that all project activities comply with the Sub-award between AMLSN and JHU•CCP/K4Health and meet USAID performance reporting requirements. 
Responsibilities 
• The Project Coordinator will: 
• Lead the AMLSN eLearning Implementation team in weekly or twice monthly conference calls with JHU-CCP/K4 health
• Report to the eLearning Advisory Board on an as needed basis 
• Solicit assistance and input from JHU-CCP/K4Health and other stakeholders as needed to ensure project's performance meets or exceeds technical and financial contractual requirements lead all contact with the eLearning Advisory Board, MLSCN leadership, and course authors to ensure project activities are being implemented effectively and efficiently
• Represent the project to the donor, all partners, AMLSN membership, the Nigerian public health community and other stakeholders 
• Develop annual work plans, quarterly reports, and budgets in dose collaboration with the Finance/Administrative Manager (subject to approval from the eLearning  Advisory Board] 
• Provide oversight and guidance to the eLearning implementation team including review of an project communications. Strategies, training materials and schedules 
• Lead proposal writing process seeking to expand the eLearning portfolio of AMLSN 
• Engage potential training partners and advertising clients in discussions on possible collaboration 
Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications 
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in training and/or teaching in relevant field using educational methodologies in a development environment 
• Experience in medical Laboratory science 
• Demonstrated experience in project management, report writing, and budgeting 
• Experience supervising staff 
• Experience in adult learning; demonstrated knowledge and understanding of competency based curriculum development and the production of learner centered teaching and learning and assessment materials 
• Demonstrated ability to communicate dearly and tactfully with subject matter experts to achieve a shared goal 
• Experience writing proposals: proven track record of proposal wins 
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, proactiveness, and creative problem solving 
• Strong written and presentation skills 
• Excellent oral written communication skills in English
• Prior experience working with international donors and knowledge- of USAID's policies and procedures

Position: Deputy Coordinator (reports to the Project Coordinator)
Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Position Summary 
The Deputy Coordinator will work closely With the Project Coordinator, the course authors, the eLearning Advisory Board, and MLSCN's 
Department of Education, Registration, and Regulation to ensure that not only high quality eLearning courses tor CPD credits are developed but also the training of new and future course authors on instructional de-sign and eLearning course development is institutionalized. 
Responsibilities 
• Working in close collaboration with the AMLSN eLearning Implementation team. the Deputy Coordinator will: 
• Assume responsibility tor representing the project to the donor, ail partners, and other stakeholders in the absence of the Project 
Coordinator 
• Maintain close and regular contact With the Project Coordinator, course authors, eLearning Advisory Board, and MlSCN'S 
• Department of Education, Registration, and Regulation to ensure project activities are being implemented effectively and efficiently 
• Work closely with course authors and subject matter experts to develop eLearning courses in conjunction with Faculty Chair of the eLearning Advisory Board 
• Lead technical review and quality assurance testing of draft courses 
• Develop training materials and oversee the training of new and future course authors and potential organizational partners in eLearning course development and instructional design principles for eLearning in conjunction with Faculty Chair 
• Provide regular support and feedback to the course authors to ensure that the course content that they are, developing is appropriate for online and is accompanied with visuals and other graphics.Copies from medicalworldnigeria.com
• Work with the Communications Officer to develop or contract out the development of appropriate multimedia materials 
• Establish a training calendar for new course authors to ensure that their training needs arc being addressed 
• Engage in frequent communication with JHUCCP/K4Health team based in the US so that the Project Director is aware of both progress and challenges 
• Solicit assistance and input from JHUCCP/K4Health and other stakeholders as needed to ensure that the project's performance meets or exceeds technical and financial contractual requirements

Qualifications 
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in training and/or leaching in relevant field using educational methodologies the a development environment 
• Experience 1n adult learning

• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and tactfully with subject matter experts to achieve a shared goal 
• Experience in effectively managing a substantially diverse team of subject matte, experts spread across an expansive region 
• Experience assessing teaching strategies and recommending ways to instruct educators more effectively 
• Demonstrated capacity to plan, schedule, and organize training programs involving many individuals and entities 
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, proactiveness and creative problem solving 
• Strong written and presentable skills

Position: Monitoring and Evolution (M&E) Officer (reports to the Deputy Coordinator)
Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Position Summary 
The M&E Officer will be responsible for establishing and implementing an effective system to monitor progress, impacts, and successes of project activities and performance at all levels. S/he will conduct impact assessments, surveys, and need assessments to continuously assess audience needs and experiences in using the AMLSN eLearning platform as well as identify necessary changes and future project opportunities. 
Responsibilities 
• Working in close collaboration with the AMLSN eLearning Implementation team, the M&E Officer will 
• Plan needs assessment, monitoring, and evaluation activities 
• Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative data collection instruments tor surveys interviews and focus groups 
• Perform data entry and statistical analysis to qualitative and quantitative data 
• Lead the tracking of indicators from various sources including the learning management system {where the eLearning courses are hosted) web analytics, administrative records, and other sources

• Contribute to the development of training materials, communication materials, conference presentations, proposals, and other documents that highlight the research findings from the project 
Qualifications 
• Bachelors degree 
• Three years related experience 
• Experience designing and managing monitoring systems, planning and managing surveys, and developing and refining data collection tools: 
• Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (e.g. qualitative. quantitative, mixed method and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies 
• Familiarity with other relevant M&E tools, such as 'Neb usage analysis (e.g., Google Analytics, Web Trends) and survey development {e.g" Survey Monkey)' 
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
