Veterinary Medical Association Elects New Leaders

The Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) has elected Dr. Godwin Abonyi as its new national president as well as new executive members to pilot the affairs of the association for the next two years.
 
Dr. Abonyi, at the formal handing over ceremony to the new executive members of the association, promised to look into the lingering crisis of livestock farmers in the country as well as the unemployment problem of graduates and wage status of employed civil servants.
 
The immediate past president of the association, Dr. Edgar Amos Sunday, said his regime tried to provide a level of stability and protect the welfare of members.
 
Representatives of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) as well as the African Veterinary Association expressed confidence in the ability of the new exco to take NVMA to greater heights.
