ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF PROVOST OSUN STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY, ILESA

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment to the position of the Provost of Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa, Osun State.

THE POSITION

The Provost is the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of the College and is responsible to the Governing Council for the overall administration, academic development, financial management and strategic advancement of the Institution.

The successful candidate will provide dynamic leadership towards achieving the vision and mission of the College, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and professional standards governing Health Technology Education in Nigeria.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates for the position should:

1. Possess a minimum of a Master's Degree from a recognised Institution of higher learning in a relevant discipline. A Doctorate Degree will be an added advantage.

2. Be a qualified and registered professional in a relevant health, medical, health technology or allied discipline, where applicable.

3. Have substantial academic and administrative experience in a tertiary or health training institution.

4. Have attained a senior academic/management position with demonstrable leadership experience.

5. Possess a sound understanding of the administration and management of a College of Health Technology.

6. Demonstrate experience in curriculum development, academic planning, research and institutional development.

7. Have a good knowledge of the regulatory framework governing Colleges of Health Technology and allied health institutions in Nigeria.

8. Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

9. Be financially responsible, transparent and committed to accountability and good governance.

10. Possess the ability to develop partnerships and attract opportunities that will enhance the growth and visibility of the College.

11. Be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the office.

12. Demonstrate impeccable character, integrity and a commitment to professional ethics.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

The appointment shall be for a tenure as may be determined by the Governing Council in accordance with the applicable laws, regulations and conditions of service of the College.

The remuneration and other conditions of service shall be in accordance with the approved terms and conditions applicable to the position.
