ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POSITION OF MEDICAL DIRECTOR, FEDERAL NEUROPSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL, ARO, ABEOKUTA

JOB TITLE: MEDICAL DIRECTOR/CEO  

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Candidates must be Medical or Dental Practitioners registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with not less than twelve (12) years post qualification.  

2. Must possess a current Practicing License from MDCN.  

3. Must be Fellows of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or West African Postgraduate Medical College or equivalent recognized by MDCN.  

4. Must have been a Consultant Psychiatrist for a minimum of five (5) years.  

5. Must be medically fit (Attach Evidence).  

6. Must be of proven good character and integrity.  

7. Evidence of medical research is an added advantage.  

8. Administrative qualification and experience are added advantages.  

9. Knowledge of ICT is an added advantage.  

10. Attraction of funded grants is an added advantage.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

i. The Medical Director is the Head/Chief Executive Officer of the institution, accountable to the Board of Management and the Honourable Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare.  

ii. Responsible for executing policies and managing day to day operations of the Hospital.  

Salary, Application Method & Deadline

SALARY AND ALLOWANCES:  

Salary and allownces will follow the Public Service Salary Structure for this category of Officer.

The Curriculum Vitae must include names and addresses of three (3) referees, one of whom must be a Senior Medical or Dental Practitioner with at least twenty (20) years post qualification experience, able to attest to the candidate’s academic, professional, managerial abilities, moral character, and uprightness. Recommendation letters from referees must be attached.
