Announcing Volunteer Scheme for Health Workers

The Nigerian Governor's Forum have initiated a volunteer scheme for health workers to support the COVID, response.  

The scheme will be made up of qualified health workers in the private sector, NYSC, or those that are yet to secure a job, who are willing to be deployed to any part of the country to support the COVID, initiative.  

Consequently, The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria is calling on all members willing to volunteer for the scheme to submit their name and contacts to their Technical group Chairman, ALPS and PSN-YPG National Chairman for immediate compilation and submission to the appropriate quarter.  

Please note that all the volunteer health workers will be properly trained on key interventions of the COVID19 response including appropriate use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to prevent them from being infected. Adequate provisions will also be made for PPE, coupled with a competitive incentive scheme (insurance, hazard allowance, accommodation, feeding and transportation) to motivate the health workers.  

Please kindly expedite action as list of volunteers with be sent out by Tuesday 11th May 2020.
