Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary professional to serve as Deputy Provost.
The successful candidate will support the Provost in providing strategic leadership, academic excellence, administrative oversight, and institutional development in line with regulatory standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Provost in the overall administration and management of the institution.
- Oversee academic planning, curriculum development, and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Supervise Heads of Departments and academic units to ensure effective performance.
- Support staff development, student affairs, and institutional growth initiatives.
- Participate in policy formulation, strategic planning, and implementation.
- Represent the institution at internal and external meetings when required.
- Monitor academic standards, examinations, and student outcomes.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in a relevant academic discipline.
- Minimum of 8–10 years post-qualification experience in academia, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of tertiary education regulations and accreditation processes.
- Proven leadership, administrative, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
