Organized Labour Ogun State Issues Notice of 7 Day Warning Strike

RE: DECLARATION OF TRADE DISPUTE:

NOTICE OF A SEVEN – DAY WARNING STRIKE

Sequel to the declaration of trade dispute with the Ogun State government on critical matters affecting the welfare of workers in Ogun State, the organized labour engaged representatives of the government in talks and negotiations.

Unfortunately, discussions ended in a deadlock as the state government blatantly refused to accede to the legitimate demands of labour despite the many concessions that the labor movement was ready to make.

Organized labour therefore has no other option than to embark on a seven (7) warning strike effective from the midnight of Tuesday 15th September, 2020. All affiliates are hereby directed to mobilize all members to comply fully with the strike. Kindly note that the strike is total and there should be no essential services in any sector within the public service in the state. All workers are enjoined to stay at home till Tuesday 22nd September, 2020 when further directives will be communicated to them.

Aluta Continual! Victoria Ascertta!

Thank you.

Signed:

Comrade Olanrewaju Folorunsho

JNC Chairman

Comrade Akeem Lasisi

Ag: Chairman TUC

Comrade Emmanuel Bankole

NLC Chairman
