Following the approval of His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, POS (AFRICA), the Executive Governor of Rivers State, for employment of Ten Thousand (10,000) eligible youths into the State Civil Service, the Rivers State Civil Service Commission is hereby calling for application from suitably qualified candidates to fill the underlisted vacant posts in the State Civil Service. 

CATEGORY A 

1. Anesthetic Technician: Candidate must possess certificate/diploma in Anesthetics. 
2. Assistant Dental Technologist: Candidate must possess ND in Dental Technology. 
3. Biomedical Engineering Technology / Technicians: Candidate must possess ND/HND in Biomedical Engineering Technology 
4. Dental Officer: Candidate must possess a degree in Dental Surgery 
5. Dental Surgery Technician: Candidate must possess diploma (ND) in Dental Surgery 
6. Dental Technologist: Candidates must possess HND in Dental Technology 
7. Dental Therapist: Candidate must possess an ND/HND in Dental Therapy 
8. Dietician: Candidate must posses a degree or HND in Dietetics. 
9. Dispensing Optician: Candidate must possess diploma / certificate in dispensing opticianry. 
10. Environmental Health Officer: Candidate must possess a degree in Environmental Health Science / Management or related course 
11. Environmental Health Superintendent: Candidate must possess HND in Environmental Health Science
12. Fisheries Officer: Candidate must possess a degree in Zoology, Fisheries, Biology, Bio-Chemistry or Agriculture  
13. Medical Imaging Technicians: Candidate must possess ND in Medical Imaging Technology 
14. Medical Imaging Technologist / Radiographer: Candidate must possess a degree / HND in Radiography / Medical Imaging Technology
15. Medical Laboratory Scientist: Candidate must possess a degree in Medical Laboratory Science 
16. Medical Laboratory Technician: Candidate must possess WASC/SSCE and evidence of completion of a three-year training in a recognized institution, and obtained the registration of the institute of Medical Laboratory Technology of Nigeria for Technician cadre. 
17. Medical Laboratory Technologist: Candidate must possess Associate Membership of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technologist of Nigeria, WASC or SSCE plus the National Diploma of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology (obtained after four years course) and registration with the medical laboratory Council of Nigeria for Health Technologist.
18. Medical Officer: Candidate must possess a degree in Medicine / Surgery (MBBS or MBBCH)
19. Medical Records Technician: Candidate must possess Associate Membership of the Association of Medical Records Technicians, Associate Membership of Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators, Certificate of Registration of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology for Technician Cadres after successful completion of the prescribed three years’ training programme.
20. Nursing Officer: Candidate must possess a degree in Nursing
21. Nursing Superintendent: Candidate must be a Registered Nurse / Midwife
22. Optometrist: Candidate must possess a degree in Optometry or equivalent qualification
23. Orthopedic Cast Technologist: Candidate must possess diploma in Orthopedic Cast Technology
24. Pharmacist: Candidate must possess a degree in Pharmacy
25. Pharmacy Assistant: Candidate must possess Pharmacy Assistant certificate
26. Pharmacy Technician: Candidate must possess the Pharmacy Technician Certificate
27. Physiotherapist: Candidate must possess a degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution and membership certificate of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
28. Scientific Officer (Health, Water Resources, Environment): Candidate must possess a degree in Physics, Geophysics, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology.
29. Veterinary Officer: Candidate must possess a degree in Veterinary Medicine or Science

CATEGORY B

Veterinary Laboratory Assistant: Candidate must possess WAEC with a pass in Chemistry

METHOD OF APPLICATION 

1. Applications must be made online (FREE) at the Commission's dedicated website (www.rscsc.ng) with the following attachments: 

i. Recent Passport Photograph 

ii. Typed and Signed application 

iii. Professional Qualifications 

iv. Degree/HND/ND Certificate 

v. WASC/SSCE/NECO 

vi. First School Leaving Certificate 

vii. Birth Certificate/Sworn Age Declaration

viii. Local Government Identification 

ix. NYSC Discharge Certificate/Exemption 

x. Evidence of current practice license and registration with professional regulatory bodies 

xi. All certificates must be from recognized institutions. 

2. Applicants are required to print out a hard copy of the submitted application form 

3. All shortlisted applicants will be notified via email, sms and on the Rivers State Civil Service Commission Website (www.rscsc.ng)

NOTE 

a. Applicants must not be less than 18 years or more than 50 years of age 

b. Applicants must possess the minimum qualification for the position he/she is applying for. 

c. Applicants who apply for more than one (1) position will be disqualified 

d. Applicants who are already in the Rivers State Government Service are not eligible to apply
