supply chain heaalthcare waste management consultant (6 months consultancy contract)
The Partnership for Supply Chai Management (PFsCM) is implementing the supply Chain Management System (SCMS) project for the U.S. Agency for international Developmenyt (USAID) as part of the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), SCMS will strengthen or establish secure, reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable supply chains capable of meeting the care and treatment needs of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
 
The Supply Chain Healthcare Waste Management Consultant will perform the following key duties;
 
•  Develop minimum package requirement for Healthcare Waste Management (HCWM) at health facility level for use by USG PEPFAAR partners and Government of Nigeria (GON)  focal sites to strengthe HCWN systems.
•  Provide technical assistance to USG PEPFAR partners in the management of expired and unusable ARVs, test its and labortory reagents (transportation, storage, treatment and disposal)
•  Ensure compliance of waste drive exercise with USG standars 
•  Monitor and collate relevant data needed to generate a technical report on waste drive exercises 
•  Generate a draft and final technical report on waste drive exercises for submission to USAID Nigeria 
•  Work with STTA  to develop policy and procedural documents governing future waste drive exercises by SCMS Field Office (NG)
•  Other operations activities as may be deemed necessary by department and FO
 
 
MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
•  A university degree/relevant cognate years of experience in healthcare waste management; national/country-wide experience is preferable 
•  Familiarity wide USG's rules and regulations with respect to healthcare waste management
•  Experience/ability to develop technical report on waste management 
•  Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel 
•  Highly developed analytical, orgaizational time management and interpersonal capabilities required 
•  Proven ability to deliver accurate work within given timeline 
•  Ability to deal wit confidential information properly
•  Must be a confident tea player and able to work in a fast-paced environment 
 
Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize and strong orgaizational skills
