Job Title: Microbiology Supervisor

Location: Sagamu, Ogun

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Mode: Onsite

 

Role Summary

  • We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Microbiology Supervisor to carry out microbiological testing and environmental monitoring activities at our Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) facility in Sagamu.
  • This role supports operational QC microbiology functions to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products.
  • Conduct routine environmental monitoring (EM) and personnel monitoring in cleanrooms.
  • Collect and analyze water samples (e.g., Purified Water/WFI) as part of water quality checks.
  • Conduct microbial limit tests, bioburden analysis, and surface/air sampling.
  • Assist in media preparation and sterility test setup, ensuring proper documentation of results.
  • Report abnormal findings promptly and participate in investigations and CAPAs.
  • Support microbiology equipment maintenance, calibration, and qualification.
  • Maintain laboratory logbooks, records, and adhere to GMP and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

  • B.Sc. or HND in Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, or related discipline.
  • 1 - 3 years’ hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory.
  • Working knowledge of EM techniques, aseptic handling, and water testing.
  • Familiarity with relevant pharmacopeial and regulatory microbiological standards.

  • Ability to follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines diligently.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic lab data systems.
